We went the other way and built Slake around the crew. People are hired properly, trained on our own homes before they touch yours, and paid to take the extra ten minutes on the tracks and the sills. Nobody here is racing a stopwatch, because nobody is paid by the job.

One number, in writing, before we start. We don't bill by the hour, so there's no incentive for us to work slowly, and there's no conversation at the end about how long it took.

If your stains are etched rather than deposited, or a job needs a roofer instead of us, we say so. Selling you something that won't work costs us far more than the invoice is worth.

Protection picked up, screens reseated, blinds back where they were, and a walkthrough with you before we drive away. The job isn't done until you've looked at it.
The name
Slake /sleɪk/
verb — to satisfy or quench thoroughly; to slake a thirst.
It's what water does. It's also what a properly finished job does to the itch you get looking at a dirty window every morning. Both meanings were on purpose.
